Avitium is a defect recognition system based on artificial intelligence. Using a large quantity of images of printing defects that we synthetically created, we were able to train various neural networks to recognize a printing defect independently of the image created.
Avitium is a product composed of a horizontal bar with cameras inside, which will be placed above the printing machine, perpendicular to the direction of the media. Each camera will frame a portion of the printed product, which will be analyzed in real time by the Coban board on which the previously trained artificial intelligence model is present. In this way it’s possible to understand the presence or absence of a defect and notify the operator by switching on a specific LED on the bar. This product is completely independent of the printing machine and, for this reason, can be easily integrated.
